Whilst much of your entertaining is likely to go on into the night, this doesn’t mean that you should overlook how light and open your home is. Visitors are going to feel much more relaxed in a space that is well lit and feels fresh, rather than feeling that they are cramped up in a more enclosed space. Of course, not everyone is able to extend their property, or re-work the space that they have. However, one thing that they can do is to make sure that there is plenty of light in the room and that it flows through.

This means that a great contrast to have in your home is to include areas that are more intimate in their nature, often a dining room or perhaps an additional living room is perfect for this. When you have an intimate spot in your home, you may find that this is great or a one-on-one chat with a friend, but not quite so fitting when you have several friends over one evening.
Offer Them Somewhere To Stay
It isn’t always going to be the case, but sometimes when you have a guest over, their stay will end up being much later than anyone planned. If this is the case then they are going to need to have somewhere to stay the night. Rather than scrabbling around trying to find somewhere for them to sleep, it is a good idea to have a back-up plan should this ever happen to you. Now, we don’t mean that you need to have a guest bedroom, but being able to offer them some kind of spot to rest their head is definitely going to be appreciated.
